Tailor made resources and exciting tours and activities are offered. All ages are accommodated and every year the museum embarks on special outreach projects aimed at schools and other organizations within the Ethekwini region.
Our Collections
A wide range of unique artefacts have been collected and donated to the Museum. Most of the objects relate to the region and people of KwaZulu-Natal and more specifically the Ethekwini Municipality and the city of Durban. (More) |

The seven site museums are uniquely themed and reflect the history of the region. The most recent exhibition which opened at Kwa Muhle Museum in December is the exhibition "Why I did it" which presents the story of Andrew Zondo and his role in the armed struggle.|

The Local History MuseumsDurban’s rich heritage is presented at many unique sites located withinthe city. The Ethekwini Municipality is responsible for the seven Local History Museums which are showcased on this website.
